History

In 2007, in the area of Vraganiotika, southwest of Corfu, Stamatelos family -a family with a long tradition in olive oil- founded the olive oil production and standardization facility "Nyssos".

Besides this new activity, the retail store in Moraitika offers every traditional product of the Corfiot land to the visitors of the island.

The engagement of Stamatelos family with the field of production, standardization and marketing of Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Virgin Olive Oil was the natural outcome of their origins, since they had several arable acres on the southwest side of Corfu, next to the wetland of Lake Korission.

There, in this fertile place, they began the production of their Corfiot olive oil "Nyssos". The name was borrowed from the beach of Issos which was originally called Nyssos, a name given to this beautiful beach in honor of Nussos, son of god Dionysus.

Our Philosophy

The concern and goal of the Stamatelos family is to monitor and control appropriately the growth of our privately owned olive trees, in order to maximize the quality of our products. Thusly, we achieve tastier olive oil, rich in nutrients, vitamins and polyphenols, as well as soft in taste and imbued with the scents of Corfiot nature.

The aim is the production and standardization of excellent quality products, which are accessible to the consumer. We work responsibly and aim at the continuous quality improvement of our products, making all the products we produce recognizable in the Greek and international market.

Since progress is part of our philosophy, within our immediate action plan lies the establishment of an advanced olive press unit.

Laboratory

For a decade now, in our modern facilities, we have been producing organic oil products of excellent quality, taking advantage of every resource that, after extensive analysis and study, produce products based on Corfu Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

Retail Store

Our store "Nyssos", a retail store, has been located in the Moraitika area since 1995, promoting our products with Corfu olive oil, making our island known all over the world.

In the store, for twenty years we have been promoting the culture of the Corfu philosophy with products that stand out.
